Usage: this product is an important steroid saponin, is an important raw material of semi-synthetic steroids. Progesterone dienone alcohol was prepared by ring-opening, oxidation, hydrolysis and elimination of diosgenin. Hydroepiandrosterone can be prepared by oxime, rearrangement and hydrolysis.
