In pulp and paper making, aluminum sulfate is mainly used to help retain and filter, charge neutralization, pH control and improve sizing efficiency. In drinking water treatment, the raw water is charge neutralized and flocculated to remove turbidity and suspended matter. Liquid aluminum sulfate can also be used in the production of synthetic catalysts for the oil refining industry.
