(1) Using Ir(acac)3 as the precursor, MOCVD technology is used to prepare the tomahawk coating, which has been widely used as the base material of the engines of missiles, rockets, cruisers, automobiles, etc. (2) Ir-C cluster films were prepared on ZrO2 substrates with Ir(acac)3 as the deposition source, which had excellent electrochemical properties. (3) Ir(acac)3 is used as a catalyst for hydrogenation of sulfur-containing aromatics. (4) Ir(acac)3 is a strong photoreducing agent for phenylpyridine aqueous solution.
